Pete Usher & the Global Pandemic are a folk outfit from Perth, Western Australia. The band has been together since 2009, and have just launched their new album 'Here with me now'. With music inspired by travel and life, their upbeat tunes combine with thoughtful lyrics. The music is prodominantly acoustic driven, with an eclectic pallet of instruments including mandolin, electric bass, drums and keyboard (as well as Indian Banjo, a rare and uncommon instrument to Australian music). The Global Pandemic is always introduding new music in the set, and has held a three year residency at the Mundaring Weir Hotel. The band have tours planned for the remainder of the year that will take in venues from Karratha to Albany. Stylistically the Pandemic have a wide range of grooves, ranging from slow, brooding ballads right through to uptempo dance numbers. The Global Pandemic's music has wide appeal across all ages, and the band is looking forward to introducing their sound to a new audience.
