Peter was born and raised in Hawker, in the mid north of South Australia. His first musical performance was live on radio 5AU in 1961 on their Saturday night program. His musical career has seen him release many albums of original material. With numerous TSA awards and finalists for his writing, Peter’s story teller vocal and practical ability to create a vision with his words in an individual style, whether it be of serious or humorous nature has led to a strong following and support of his traditional style of music throughout his career. Peter is still presenting concert shows containing his own original material around Australia and music has remained his only income for the last 40 years. Peter is well known for his work with the trio PETER COAD & THE COAD SISTERS. He continues to record as part of the trio and also release his own solo albums containing traditional style country music, mostly his own writing. OAM 2017 In 2017 PETER COAD was awarded an OAM for his services to Country Music at Government House, NSW.
