Phoenix Lights are a four piece rock outfit from Launceston. The members of Phoenix Lights had been playing around Tassie as Halfmast for a number of years before deciding to re-launch themselves under the Phoenix Lights banner. This change had been brought on by the realisation that the new material that the band was writing was completely new and different to what they had done in the past and worthy of it's own identity. Thus Phoenix Lights was born. The Phoenix Lights sound can best be described as a mix of post-hardcore & straight up rock. Take early Shihad, blood curdling screams and 80's rock/metal inspired guitar solos and your getting close. Phoenix Lights recorded a four track demo in mid 2008 which showcases their distinctive new sound. Phoenix Lights' debut EP is set for release in eary 2011.
