It's your classic band story.... Boy meets boy. Boy tells boy he wants to start a band. He'll play bass and the other boy can be a guitarist if he likes. Boy knows other boy who might be able to sing. Boy also knows boy who can play drums. Drummer boy has brother who plays guitar. All 5 boys go to school in Kyneton. Boys start band and name it Pillow after the Contour Wonder Pillow TV commercial. Pillow play debut show at the Woodend Community Centre. The Helmet covers went down particularly well. Drummer leaves to pursue his other band 'Fetish'. New drummer is recruited. New drummer is a bit of a knob. Second show is fucking woefull. They press on and write a bunch of songs, play a whole bunch of shows over about three years, record a demo, have a lot of laughs and smoke quite a few bongs. Drummer gets tired of constant ridicule and leaves to pursue his career as a pilot.. (told you be was a knob). Old drummer is called in as a temporary fill in. Old drummer becomes regular
