We are a Brisbane and Wide Bay based duo influenced by sparse musical recreations from the time of the ancient Sumerians, all the way up to the 19th century. Fingers are always on the pulse though, in case something good happened after 1899. We like a slightly wonky musical and audio aesthetic, sometimes favouring baroque chord progressions paired with grainy echo and old amps.. and organs. A brief history of the duo: Anders used to work on film music, sound design and many diverse eclectic music projects, and also worked in performance with spoken word artists. Russell Albert and Anders Parslow met on a footpath in 2018 as they both looked at a large 1970's Kawai home organ being left out for council collection, and found much shared ground and musical outlooks and began occasionally writing and recording together.
