Pinwheel
From Perth, Western Australia. Pinwheel puts forward their collective take on 90's alternative rock, with a new honed 80's pop sensibility. Consisting of members from No Brainer, Idle Eyes and Glass Wave. 'Draped In Blue' is available everywhere now.
After deciding that their futures lay outside the realm of academic achievment, Zach Perkins and Paul Wientjens, in the early months of 12th grade, 2007, began to jam together in an attempt to satisfy their creative frustrations. After suffering several lineup and name changes, the band eventually settled on the alternative-punk rock outfit, now including Troy Morton-Thick and Alex Savage, of Pinwheel, a name derived from a food they were eating at the time. 2010 has seen Pinwheel finally hit it's stride playing shows around the eastern suburbs as well as inner Melbourne. With a self-recorded four track demo available and plans to record an EP early in the new year, 2011 is shaping up to be an exciting year for the young punk rockers. Stay tuned
