Placidic started as an in class band with Michael Gill and Beau Jorgensen. An extra member was then added to play bass and they entered the school Battle of the Bands. Oliver Michael was the next member to join on rhythm guitar and vocals and in early 2007 the previous bassist was replaced by Chris Homel and the bands name changed to Placidic.
