Forged in a share house home-studio somewhere in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs over two years of lockdown, Playlunch is the brainchild and passion project of Liam Bell. Creating a cocktail of late 90s and early 2000s Aussie nostalgia, and taking inspiration from retro dance music icons, Playlunch is pioneering a new flavour of bangers altogether: ‘Bogan Funk’. Putting a huge focus on touring and bringing their comedic, yet serious live show to the people, the band have become a staple across the Australian Festival circuit with slots at NYE on the Hill (VIC), Party in the Paddock (TAS), St Kilda Festival (VIC), Offbeat Music Festival (QLD), Good Gumnuts Festival (TAS) & many more under their belts. 2025 sees the band tackle new heights with brand new music, massive touring plans and more nonsense than you can keep track of.
