For three years Playwrite have captivated audiences with their vibrant live performance. Through pounding drums, samples and swirling guitars come soaring lyrics and chants. Lauded by JOY FM and Tone Deaf as the top 12 bands of 2014, Playwrite are playing a select number of shows before they release their second single this winter off of their impending debut album. “Touches of folk, rock, electro and hip-hop came to a beautiful confluence to create accessible, albeit thought-provoking, pop. The crowd were left simply to look on in awe. Perhaps, this was the one hole in what was otherwise a perfect performance; the alienating brilliance.” – Vulture Magazine Playwrite have played alongside : Wild Beats (UK), Half Moon Run (CAN), The John Butler Trio, Angus & Julia Stone, Young Magic, ALPINE, Katie Noonan, Willowbeats, Northeast Party House, Gold Fields, Leader Cheetah, Set Sail, Gossling, Jordie Lane, Hayden Calnin, Geoffrey O’Conner, Townhouses, Rat & Co and many others.
