Pneumonia formerly known as Purple Monkey relocated from Sydney to Lismore in 2001 in the quest to be the next Lismore based band to be unearthed in the tradition of the Mighty Grinners! Essentially the band plays a Rock/ Power Pop style of music with a definite Australian sound. 'Ant' - Originally from Bondi played guitar in a ska/punk band 'The Skunks' until he turned his musical interests to the grunge and hard core genres when he moved to Lismore to surf, play music and make short films. 'Horsepower' - Originally from Melbourne went to uni in the ACT fronting a 3 piece rock outfit 'The Feds' releasing the unsigned album 'Cop this' and playing the traps of Canberra before moving to the North Coast and starring in the short surf flick 'Crowdsurfing' 'Gringo' - Originally trumpet & bass player with ska/punk band "The Skunks" who toured extensively from the mountains to the sea.Gringo is the bands chick magnet! 'Chewmeister' - An unassuming drummer and lead vocalist on the song
