Bio history
In the early part of 2007, Jose Glancarez and Jisu Glantz were performing as female backup singers for the girl group "Hug and kiss me". During their time on stage, the two charismatic entertainers fed off each other and their relationship began. Initially, the two limited that relationship to the eating of ice cream only, but eventually music began to pervade most of their discussions and they inevitably started to create music together. Using experimental harmonics the sound of the pockets came to life. Hsoj Glinc joined the band soon after the ice cream crises in May and Joshua Glanc soon after that. unfortunately, Joshua died after the recording of these tracks and whether the pockets will ever play again is still unknown.
Hailing out of the slums of Mornington, Pockets offer a range of mesmerising indie rock tunes filled with mouth-watering riffs that will be stuck in your head for days. The charismatic 4 piece has drawn favourable comparison to legendary bands such as Arctic Monkeys, Black Keys and Red Hot Chili Peppers. Their unique sound and layback style has won over audiences across Melbourne. At the end of the day the boys from Pockets are here to smash beers and tickle your ears.
