Polybia is a Sydney based collective of audio engineers and musicians. The main base of Polybia is Damien Chambers (guitars, bass, synthesisers and production) Spencer Gill (synthesisers and production) and Nathan James on vocals. Polybia’s style fuses distorted guitars with synthesisers to produce moody and dark composition’s in the vain of late Depeche Mode, Nine Inch Nails and Massive Attack but with an almost post punk soundtrack twist. Spencer built a recording studio just around the corner from Damien’s purpose-built mixing studio. They started to piece together songs. With no real direction they were just having fun in the studio, bringing friends from around the area to collaborate. But they soon started to build a collection of songs. Then a chance meeting of Nathan and Spen, Nathan was asked to come down to the studio to try out for vocal duties. Damien and Spen were both blown away with Nathans power and vocal harmonies. Thus was born the beginnings of Polybia! 2020 is
