After picking up the guitar in his late teens Poor Xcuse was started in the early 90's by Christian Breen. First adding Jeff Andrews on drums and later adding Chris's early guitar teacher Blair Manie on bass, to quote Blair "I'd always been impressed by Chris's song writing both musically and lyrically. So when the band hit a hiatus after losing a bass player a couple of years back, I pushed to be included." Blair had also had a long history playing in bands with Jeff Andrews and so it seemed like a great match. They soon had put together a set of songs from the bands extensive back catalogue and then started adding more. After writing and honing their set they chose a dirty bakers dozen to record over the course of a weekend as the basis for what will be their first album the lead tracks of which they are presenting here.
