Portable Junk is a Wollongong-born, Sydney-based acoustic, folk / roots trio. In 2008, Susie Bishop returned home briefly from the U.K. and got together with former housemates Garth Hodgson and E.J. Gain to catch up over instruments. Portable Junk came about almost by accident. Finding there was a magic in the room the three began to write their own tunes. The result was the ‘Before She Goes’ EP - a collection of songs hastily recorded in one day, before Susie’s return to the U.K. Two years later Susie is back and the trio has reformed ready to mesmerise audiences with a new collection of cosy tunes. Keep your ears out for the "There's Something About You" EP, from which the following tracks are from. All three members are multi-instrumentalists and there is no set line-up. Portable Junk embrace sweet and catchy melodies as they explore the edges of acoustic folk music. “You won’t feel cool, You’ll feel right at home” - Nick La Rosa @ neonhearts
