The Post Social Experiment is a pretty live thing. I mean that’s how it started, as an experiment to see what can come after social media. Once you get off a screen what else is there but live in person stuff? So we thought we’d do live happenings, the most notorious being the grand piano in a flower shop gig. But here we’re talking about recording. So how does that live experiment translate to a recording? Well, we record it like we play it. One take, live, capturing the moment. Sometimes minimal, sometimes rich and cinematic, but always in your face real. The Post Social Experiment is all original. It is stories and thoughts that inspire discussion, argument and comment wrapped in an eclectic mix of folk, blues, jazz, country, rock and old school soul. There’s a lot of experience here, members of the Experiment have been there, done it, survived it and have the scars to prove it. Steve, who comes up with most of the ideas, has performed his songs in London, Manchester, Paris and New York and in Australia, throughout Sydney and his home town of Wollongong.
