Used to play in the Brisbane instrumental/noise band bloon. Lost most of my hearing to Merniere's disease about six years ago. Have recently ventured back into the world of music however, after the purchase of a computer with free music software. I write under the moniker: postherdmusic: a combination of styles and made without hearing. I can hear muffled beats and some frequencies, but the tunes are now mostly in my head. So far done I've done it all myself (other than receiving tuning correction from friends) but hopefully the new Brisbane label 'songsareforever' will polish it up, for an expected release next year. Update: (Since writing this profile I've had a Cochlear Implant or 'Bionic Ear' and begun to hear again, albeit a little differently. I've now been 'switched on' for about 2 months and have embarked on some new stuff - mainly beats - cause everything I hear is pretty much monotonal but that may hopefully change in time as I adapt to the device and the technology
