Following up with a monstrous second EP entitled ‘Crime Time TV’ Power Drill showed they are not a force to be messed with. Landing Triple J airplay and Rage featured music videos, the trio highlighted the power of independent music driven by a hunger for the stage. Sticking true to their against-the-grain nature, they blend their tongue in cheek style flawlessly with more mature lyrical themes and musicality. Broaching heavier topics such as social-media abuse and its effects on mental health, predatory behaviour in the industry and the destruction of the middle class, Power Drill’s lyrical prowess shines through in this EP. Power Drill have become known for their high-energy live performances, gracing stages up and down the East-Coast with the likes of C.O.F.F.I.N, Private Function, Radium Dolls and Full Flower Moon Band. Lining up for a massive 2024, and with no signs of slowing down, Power Drill are ones to keep your eyes on.
