On the breakup of canberra grindcore act Incinerator drummer Nathan Brenton and then guitarist Shane Gardner saught to make use of some of the more subdued (less than 200bpm) tracks they had accrued and thusly formulated a plan. The plan involved a long running annoyance at the 'disney' style music that plagues the charts these days. Dan Mills most recently of canberran thrash outfit Davidian was introduced to the boys, songs were restructured to suit lead guitar, Shane put on his bass and vocal hat and Nathan breathed a sigh of relief as he embarks on a holiday from death metal drums (that shit looks hard!) and the boys got to writing. Fast forward one year, some more kids, substance abuse, recovering from substance abuse, more substance abuse, rehab, many ridiculously annoying encounters with neighbours, employers and the general public, a myriad of shitty minimum wage jobs and a couple of mental health scares and PreLucid were sitting on a 6 track demo.
