Pretty City are psychy rock band from Melbourne. They have toured Europe, Canada, and showcased at SXSW. Their stadium, psychedelic sound is compared to everything from Britpop, shoegaze, psych and glam. Their third album, OUT THE INSIDE, was recorded in flash 10 days in a huge 3 story house overlooking the ocean on the coast of Oregon, USA. Written during a tumultuous time for the band the album reflects those high emotional states. Sometimes gentle, sometimes aggressive, it’s all the things you can’t say out loud, but hope everyone can hear. First single Health is a swirling psych pop song with a stadium rock chorus. Its catchiness though, hide dark lyrics about self-destructive behaviour stemming from the stress of mounting pressures on the band on the rise. “Sooner or later your thoughts will betray you and start doing things that are bad for your health”
