Pretty Penny began with two best friends, travelling the world and wearing their respective hearts on their sleeves. Both come from small-town origins, have large, very close families and grew up listening to and admiring music from a vast range of genres (hence their varying song categories) as influenced by their then ‘world leaders’ - Mum and Dad. Now the boys are all grown up (at least physically), their musical taste buds have not changed but their appetite has grown, and with that their love for all things musical has deepened. Since starting to write music, Pretty Penny has found it difficult to pigeon-hole themselves as a band. Creating music that reflects the truth of what they feel within, and trying to shed some lyrical light has always come easy but doesn’t always come out of the same mold. Pretty Penny is influenced everyday by music, people, places, love, loss, tragedy, triumph, nature, the past, present, future and the unknown. However, there is a whole lot of music
