Puritan started as a two piece with both vocalist Sean Arkham and guitarist Kran Provis writing songs heavily influenced by their love of seventies rock and roll. It eventuated with the addition of Jess Bebe on bass and Gary Briggs on drums and with the recording of two songs, Scarlet Lady and Where to Pray. Unfortunately Gary had other commitments with other bands and had to drop out but the songwriting didn't stop there and soon after the three piece had enough material for an EP. Enter Damon 'the Demon' Masone, who's hard hitting, Bonham-esque drum style suited the band's sound and cemented his place within the group. Not long after, the self titled EP was recorded at the Fish Shop Studios with Nesta Mitchell producing and mastered by Neville Clarke at Disk Edits, Brompton. Puritan's in your face rock and roll sonic attack and subtle hints at psychedelia will leave you breathless and wanting more. Rock and roll till you die!
