Born and raised in Vietnam, qb found his passion for singing and music from a young age. His love for music expanded to songwriting and production soon after he picked up the guitar. Realizing that he wanted to take music seriously, he came to Melbourne to finish high school and immerse in a new environment in 2020. Having released his debut EP "My Love Language" in 2023, qb has opened up the universe of his own stories and music in which he wishes his audience could find their own experiences in his songs. As the sole producer for his music, qb constantly strives to create a cohesive sound world for his stories to shine the best in, even if it means risking going out of his comfort zone and sound. The larger part of 2024 was rather quiet for the self-produced singer-songwriter as he takes his time to regroup and redefine his creative vision of upcoming projects. Coming out of hiatus, qb looks forward to expand his musical universe with his first full-length self-produced album, promising to reflect his drastic growth both as an artist and a storyteller. With lots of preparation in place, qb seeks to solidify his own sound through a wide variety of genres in this album where he flexes his unique backgrounds in pop, jazz, and classical music. "If a story can be told in different ways, so should a song be expressed without the restricting conventions of genres" - qb Nguyen
