Originally 'Round Eleven, R-11 was formed in 2001 by musicians of the jazz scene as a bass-drums-sax trio. Stimulated by the absence of an harmonic instrument they're landing on a post-jazz-rock which has become the band trademark in which each instrument goes beyond its conventional role. In 2011, when a guitar takes the place of the sax, the traditional power trio gets reinvented in R-11style.
