Edit history

Hello! My name is Rachel Bruerville. I am a musician living on Kaurna Country – Adelaide, South Australia – and I cringe whenever I need to edit my biography. I write music for the concert hall, the theatre, and other collaborative work. My music has been performed and commended by ensembles including Ensemble Connect (Carnegie Hall), Boston Symphony Orchestra, Adelaide Symphony Orchestra, Australian Chamber Orchestra Collective, Adelaide Wind Orchestra, Western Australian Wind Symphony, Your Favourite Brass Quintet (Rhode Island), Adelaide Chamber Singers, Sydney Children's Choir, Gondwana Voices, and Young Adelaide Voices. Notable collaborative projects include 'Guthrak', an interactive theatre experience (Under the Microscope); 'The Nest', a Music For All Project (Connecting the Dots in Music); and being engaged as Young Adelaide Voices' Composer in Residence 2019/2020, supported by a 2019 Carclew Fellowship. In my life as a performer, I sing alto in the internationally-acclaimed Adelaide Chamber Singers, and I am active as a freelance cellist around Adelaide.
