Born in San Diego California, in the U S of A, Rachel Shaw moved to Australian shores and began indulging in things musical. Growing up in Perth, Rachel originally played drums for various punk and rock bands and her relocation to Melbourne brought her together playing drums with 60's garage girl band: Doll Squad. Discovering her passion for song writing, Rachel put down her drumsticks and picked up a guitar. This was a turning point. She began playing shows around Melbourne, collaborating with Liam Firmager, guitarist and song writer of The Kissingers, backing vocals for Plastic Palace Alice, playing keyboards for Rob and The Banks, with members of bands: Kids From Russia and Midstate Orange - all while arranging and composing her own work. With a bit more experience under her belt, Rachel took on rhythm guitar and co-vocal duties with The Scarletons - featuring members Effigy (Peter Hardman), Killing Heidi/Non Intentional Lifeform (Adam Pedretti) and reuniting with Doll Squad
