RAMPS: a noise-rock band from the colonies of Sydney, Australia. Two guitars and drums. Current / previous bands: Hostile Objects, Further, Sounds Like Sunset, Stanley Knife Massappeal, Downtime, Subversion, Grand Fatal & Seconds Away. If you like Part Chimp, Sonic Youth or Fu Manchu then you’re probably getting the right idea of what we're about. We've played a random spattering of shows with Yes I’m Leaving, Hoodlum Shouts, Blacklevel Embassy, Tape/Off, Life & Limb, Burlap, Marathon, The Grenadiers, Oslow, Narrow Lands, Chinese Burns Unit, Skull Squadron and Meat Cake. We've just self-released new single "Do you like Movies About Gladiators?" Previously released “Taylor & The Monkees” single and our 3song debut “JOE”. We recorded our latest songs live to an 8track recorder with no overdubs. All songs were mixed at home by Andy over a number of months after he put his son to sleep.
