Formed in Sydney, Australia in late 2008, Ramshackle is a distinctive Rock/Punk band comprising lead vocals, two guitarists, bass and drums. The origins of Ramshackle began on opposite sides of Sydney as budding musicians in the Northern Districts and the Eastern Suburbs were honing their crafts. Jared Montgomery and Andrew Bavaro had met at high school, both taking music as an elective. At the same time James Wall, also undertaking music at the school, was gaining a reputation as an accomplished guitarist and drummer. The three guys jammed together and played in local Battle of the Bands competitions. Tony Austin’s family had arrived from England when he was 9 years old, settling in the suburb of Eastlakes. Tony became interested in music, choosing it as an elective at school and playing drums and singing in local bands. Jared Montgomery and James Wall met at high school in the Sydney Northern Districts, both taking music as an elective. They jammed together and played in local Battle of the Bands competitions. Tony Austin’s family had arrived from England when he was 9 years old, settling in the Sydney Eastern suburbs. Tony became interested in music, choosing it as an elective at school and playing drums and singing in local bands. Rehearsals in 2009 resulted in the guys realising that they had an aptitude for song writing and this, coupled with a unique chemistry and friendship, has become a fundamental element of Ramshackle. 2009 and 2010 saw Ramshackle playing at venues like the Factory Theatre,

Ramshackle formed their four-piece band whilst living in the industrial backend of Hackney Wick, London. Collectively half Australian and half Northern English, after playing a series of underground shows in the grungy underworld of east London they have come home to the superior sunny climes of Australia to introduce the Northern English half of the band to the best beaches of the Central Coast and Australian music scene. Debut single "Around the Houses" was released on the 23rd of October and the second single "Skin and Bone" is due mid December 2014. The tracks was recorded over a couple of days spent on the boat that rocked, literally, their music is a mesh of British Indie pop, heavy on the guitars and catchy with the hooks.
