Am I a 'luthiering' guitarist or a 'guitaring' luthier? I guess a little bit of both. Playing for over 30 years, and building for about 20, I'm now in the process of recording my first album in 8 years in my own studio ('The Shed'), hopefully it's finished in March (or so.....)-it's about an amazing journey that finally brought me to Australia. I started playing stuff by Elmore James and Albert King, but I wanted to learn more, so I listened and rehearsed everything between Led Zeppelin, the Yardbirds, Jeff Beck and AC/DC...and then, in late 1979, Van Halen happened. I had to go back downstairs to get my ears...and the first tube amp I could afford! I played in numerous bands through the years, but I just haven't got the time anymore, having a family and the incorporated mortgage, so I decided to start recording my own stuff, as I never really stopped writing!
