Rakesh grew up around the eastern suburbs and currently lives in Matraville, Sydney. He began pursuing his music career by writing poetry when he was 15, which then quickly evolved to rap when he was 17, he also performs his own music and puts beats together for his own tracks. Rakesh draws inspiration for his lyrics from those closest to him: his family and friends, and from his general life experiences. Musically, he is inspired by the artists he says are passionate about what they do- artists such as Ice Cube, Big L, Biggie, 2pac and others such as Aerosmith, Led Zeppelin and Jimmy Hendrix just to name a few. Writing and performing music plays a big part in Rakesh’s life; he is always looking to turn his and others bad experiences and situations into a positive aspect through his music. Rakesh is currently unsigned and looking for any kind of exposure and feedback on his music from the public.
