ether [ee•ther] noun 1. a colorless, highly volatile, flammable liquid, having an aromatic odor and sweet, burning taste; used as a solvent and, formerly, as an inhalant anesthetic. 2. the upper regions of space beyond the clouds; the clear sky; the heavens. Alternative Grunge outfit, Raw Ether, is the brainchild of Benny Tamblyn, Kacee Heidt & Oscar Westell. Incubated in the monotony of the 'Deep South' of Australia, the members united after a series of line up changes in early 2005. Experimenting their diverse musical abilities and personal styles has created a distinct and embedded direction for the trio through five years of recordings and shows. A versatile sound; incorporating upbeat dance rhythms, big effects & drum synths with grunge rock elements and a large improvisational aspect to their live shows; Raw Ether has an eclectic mix of aural delights.
