Raya Sakina is the creative moniker of American-Australian artist Regan Hoyng. Born in rural western Ohio but has made western Sydney his home since 2003. Raya Sakina was a project I started nearly four years ago with the hope of making melodic guitar music that also shared my love of lesser known genres such as krautrock and post-punk. 2020 brought my first release of the single 'Burning Bridge' which is a song that's built on ethereal guitar, a motorik beat, and but still with a pop sensibility. The B-side being a cover of Young Marble Giants 'Brand-New-Life'. My first album 'Pyrrhic Cycles' will be out in early-mid 2021 with the lead single 'Pepper's Ghost'.
