Raymond Smith is an Australian singer songwriter raised in a small country town with traditional family values linked to Christianity, morality, common sense, hard work and mateship. Though a music lover from an early age he didn’t start to sing or play until his thirties after a significant life change. After working mostly in the building industry as a concretor, Raymond started following his teenage dream of becoming a singer songwriter and enrolled for singing lessons and a friend offered to help out with learning to play guitar. After some success in talent quests he began working as a solo artist in various venues performing a mixture of original compositions and cover songs. Raymond has now recorded several of his original songs with many life experiences embodied in his lyrics. With tracks dating from 1994 to 2025 there’s a lot of ground to cover.
