I grew up in Perth WA, where I still reside. I learnt to play the keyboard in Year 6&7 at school. I did not pursue music through High School, but instead aspired to be an accountant! I went to university to study business for 1 year... I was bored to tears. I transferred to teaching and became a primary school teacher. I began doing relief teaching work, where I earnt enough money to buy a keyboard. It was then, when I was 22, I discovered I could improvise and just make things up! I began writing songs then. I was then tranferred to the country as a teacher, where I met my husband, and remained for 10 years. It seemed my life had taken a different turn, but had it? I started teaching music at local schools and joined a cover band. This was successful and fun for a while, but I always found it difficult to share my original material. It was almost like I was revealing my diary for everyone to see! After 10 years in the country I moved back to Perth. I secured a Music Teaching
