Forged in the fires of Melbourne’s anti-neoliberal resistance, born of brotherly love and musical synchronicity - Rebel Underground is the new project from local dissidents Greg Ng (aka Soul Train, formerly of Snout) and Andy Papadopoulos (Anthems to the Fall). This summer, they bring you No Need (To Find Myself) – their first long player of perfect pop, sugary harmonies, jackin’ beats and old, funky, Fender guitars. Beginning in The Club and shaking off the Trump presidency, moving through shimmering melodies to political protest, and ending with heartbreaking reflections on love, No Need (To Find Myself) is an album – but more than that: it’s a Love Thing.
