Coming together in late 2010, Red Sky Burial have drawn on their multitude of experiences from former bands including Tailbone, Subtract and .hinge with a desire to create something unique… While their music has been likened to the formative years of Soundgarden and Alice in Chains, on account of the powerful vocal delivery and dark, aggressive message from frontman Jay, Red Sky Burial does not walk the easy path of imitation. Hypnotic drums, undulating bass lines and riff-laden guitars provide a solid grounding for Red Sky Burial’s commanding live set which has cemented the band as a force to be reckoned with in the Melbourne live music scene. Having recently recorded their second EP at Reggie Bowman’s infamous studio in Warrandyte, Red Sky Burial are up and onto bigger and better things. Red Sky's first release is out now through Rocket Distribution and is available at JB HiFi and on iTunes.
