Perth experimental outfit Reef and the Riff Raff have just revealed their incredibly diverse, self-titled debut record, announcing themselves to the musical world in stunning fashion. Recorded at frontman Reef Selleck’s own Hatched home studio, Reef and the Riff Raff have tampered with their makeup over the past year, adding members until they eventually found the right fit as a six-piece. The band is centred around Selleck's Jim Morrison-esque drawl partnering the soft, sublime voice of Thea Dowling. Loki and Ben keep the groove while Kirsty's unreal keys weave around Callum's lead, keeping every song dynamic and exciting. Riff Raff can be heard channelling a diverse array of influences throughout the record; with The Brian Jonestown Massacre, The Shadows, Pink Floyd, Can and The Doors all heard shining through at different points. A strong 60’s and 70’s flavour with a modern twist; RATRR offer something special that even the fussiest music lover will be able to connect with. A
