Edit history

The Sydney-based band consists of Brooke Shelley (vocals), David Drury (pipe organ, vocals), Matt Roberts (drums). Their follow up album, Hymnarium includes Richard Hundy (guitars) and Adam Bodkin (bass), and consolidates the original idea behind forming the band of combining rock/metal with renaissance music. Following the 2007 release of their EP, Videntes stellam Magi, Resonaxis’ debut CD, Resonaxis, featured music that drew inspiration from ancient chants, church psalms, renaissance polyphony, baroque musical forms, dance music, Scandinavian metal and jazz. Along with Michael Sheridan on guitars, guest performers on the CD included renowned bassist Steve Elphick, Theorbo player Tommie Andersson, and baroque string musicians from the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra. Resonaxis’ music and interviews have featured on Australian national and community radio, and online international radio and European music magazines.
