Restless Leg formed when guitarist/vocalist, Ben Chamie and drummer, Jared Harrison, found themselves at a musical loose end. With long-time friend Fiona Whalley recruited on bass, Restless Leg was born debuting on Saturday 31 March 2012 at a party in an Erskineville backyard, with not two weeks of rehearsals under their belts. This quick-fire formation lent itself to lean and direct song arrangements recalling classic indie references such as The Go-Betweens and Smudge. Restless Leg had a busy 2012 playing the usual dive bars, culminating in the recording of what will be its debut album over a few days at the end of November with Tim Kevin (La Huva, Knievel), and who has recently recorded Toby Martin of Youth Group’s solo record. Restless Leg’s self-titled debut will be released mid-2013. Two Sides is the first single from that album and is a melancholic pop indie-hit in the making.
