Richard Hummingbird is a collaboration between two Sydney indie-rockers. Letters To Lions frontman, Joel Osborn, and Butter Bath, aka Toby Anagnostis, have teamed up as a two person writing and production duo. Their music addresses the universal motion of reaching one’s mid-twenties and feeling the weight of adulthood settle in. Through sweeping lyrical strokes, Joel Osborn (vocals and guitar) and Toby Anagnostis (drums, guitar and bass) renounce convention and propriety and the roles that they play in the coming-of-age narrative. The pair met while studying music and quickly discovered their shared infatuation with ambient guitars, anthemic synths and crushed drums. From the modesty of Toby’s home studio, they set upon the insular journey of creating grand-scale indie-rock as a two-man production duo. Debut EP coming 2022
