Richard of Oz is a fresh rap artist straight out of Australia looking to take on the world. Born mute, his parents spent all they had on giving him the chance to speak, through rehabilitation. At 5 years of age, he began to speak, gleaning his accent from his teachers out of Chicago. Early on, Richard knew he was different and called for something greater. Originally from Zimbabwe, he now calls Australia his home and represents those who feel disenfranchised and disabled. His music goes so far beyond himself, he is looking to empower the next generation to dream bigger and to believe they can do anything they set their heart on. The music coming from Richard of Oz is bold, honest and inspiring. His music is prophetic; shedding light on the state of this world and what is to come, always keeping hope as his core message.
