I cut my teeth in the 80s/90s with a band named Kruger, then stepped away from music in 1995. I became an animator in 2000, married in 2004 and raised four kids — three boys (25, 20, 16) and an 8-year-old daughter. After separating in 2024 I found my way back to music — it helped save my life. I write and record the demos from my loft bedroom above my sister Louise’s café, Worn Out Wares, in Singleton NSW, before recording them in a Newcastle studio. My youngest helped write most of the lyrics to one of my favorite songs, “Friendship.” My songs are about what matters to me: my kids, love, family, abuse of power and the injustices I see in the world. I perform vocals and play every instrument on my recordings except drums. Lee Rolfe recorded, edited, mastered and played drums — an absolute legend. E.P Songlist 1. Hollow - is about the struggles a father has when leaving his children when a relationship ends. 2. Bernie (the man in the doorway)- is about my brother in law at the time, Bernie Sessions, who lost his life to mental illness. 3. Friendship - My 7 year old daughter and I wrote this song, I played the guitar and she made up the lyrics on the spot while looking me in the eyes. 4. Fire and Ice- is about the struggle between the heart and mind, when a relationship no longer works but the love is still there. 5. Power - is about how power corrupts people and destroys lives.
