In 1966, Rick joined Pittsburgh's nascent psychedelic rock scene as a 16 year old guitarist in Children of Stone, then switched to bass when that group became Clark's Buffalo. A forerunner of the seventies Lo-Fi & DIY movements, he built a studio in his Dormont home, started writing & recording songs with his friends all the way to the end.
