Rise and Shine formed when three 'friends' decided to record some songs that they thought sounded funny. So they recorded it in a bedroom and sent it around to friends. Quite strangely, people actually enjoyed listening to the songs, and soon enough were asking when more would be made. Unfortunately, the musical project known as 'Rise and Shine' lay dormant….until now. Armed with a fresh vitality and need to express themselves through interpretive music/dance, Rise and Shine created a Myspace page and made their music available to the public. Around the same time they began to create more musical fusion, and soon enough people were asking when they were playing 'live'. Rise and Shine take everything that is good in music, and put it into a giant cauldron. They then slowly cook it for days on end, removing the bad tastes whilst keeping whatever pleases themselves. Influences range from late 70's punk, to disco-era pop, to that noise that a microwave makes when it has finished
