Cinematic alt-pop that turns fear into fuel and wonder into sound. At the centre of River's music is her rich, dusky voice - strong, emotive, and unmistakenly human. Around it, she layers swelling guitars, clean bass, and organic percussion that rise from the sparse beats into epic climaxes. The result sits between the anthemic drive of Bishop Briggs and the atmospheric depth of London Grammar. River Lane was a finalist at the South Australian Music Awards, featured at WOMADelaide and SCALA Festival and has national radio play on Triple J. River is currently pouring her energy into her most ambitious project yet. A three-track EP accompanied by a short film. She is writing, directing, animating and scoring the film herself. It's a bold, multi-disciplinary journey through dissociation, though spirals and the fight to ground back into the present - blending music and visuals into a seamless narrative.
