HOW IT BEGAN: Since writing & performing music in Melbourne throughout the 1990s, Anthony James turned his hand to publishing analysis & commentary on sustainability issues, throughout Australia & the Americas. Returning to Melbourne in 2007, Melanie joined Anthony for a drink & found themselves in inspired conversation about the state of the world & possibilities for change. She asked him about the writing he had been doing, then suggested he turn his hand to producing lyrics on the topic, to which she would write the music. In an instant, Rivers in the Streets was created, an irresistible combination of the poetic power of the written word with the universal beauty of music.
