Grand-Finalist of the International Songwriting Competition, singer and multi-instrumentalist Robbie Macfarlane’s songwriting recalls a time when melody was everything and reveals a profound understanding of our shared lived experience through big hooks, meaningful lyrics, lush instrumentation and songs that stick in your head. A former internationally acclaimed Opera Singer, Macfarlane’s distinctive soulful voice has been heard all over the world. His production style favours passion over perfection and Tell Me Where It Hurts, the first taste of Macfarlane’s solo oeuvre, is a refreshing changed from monotonous auto-tune and banal lyrics. They don’t make ‘em like this anymore.
