Robert Baxter emerged from a desire to represent their community and has become a dynamic force in Australia’s pop scene. Blending pop with club-ready sounds and drawing on a background in dance, theatre and modelling, their high-energy shows and audacious visual identity has marked them as one of the country’s most exciting rising talents. Their EP STARGIRL earned wide acclaim, with spins on triple j and Unearthed, Rage features, and a cover story with The Music. Robert has headlined sold-out shows, performed at major festivals including Midsumma and Moomba, and supported artists such as tiffi and ASHWARYA. They’ve showcased and led panels at BIGSOUND, walked both Melbourne and Australian Fashion Weeks, and curate the queer club night Club Cupid. An active member of the Australian Ballroom Scene and a proud Taiwanese queer artist, Robert champions greater representation for queer POC across the music industry and beyond.
