Robert Dunne is a Sydney based songwriter who has recently taken time out from painting houses to record his debut album, 'Make Up Make Out and Make Believe'. Speaking to the human condition, his songs blur the boundaries between hurt and elation, joy and despair, hope and hopelessness. Never far from the alternative pop genre, his songs have depth and imagination. Influenced by early 80’s bands - Echo and the Bunnymen, The Jesus and Mary Chain, The Cure, and later, Icehouse, Crowded House, New Order, Placebo - Robert began writing songs at the age of 13. Always aiming at original song concepts with a depth of lyric yet at the same time, consciously allowing the listener to attach their own experiences. Entirely self-funded, the album was recorded and produced by Sean Carey at Trackdown Studios and mastered by Don Bartley at Benchmark Studios. Although currently unsigned, he has received some radio play on Melbourne based JOY and is working towards more radio play. Currently
