Rocking Chair and Shotgun are celebrating the birth of their first album entitled "Life at the Hacienda." They are launching their debut album with a gig at Valve bar, Sydney on the 4th of December with their friends Mayday Way Hey and Stevie and the Joneses! Rocking Chair and Shotgun deliver sharp, indie, rock tunes riding waves of distorted guitar, punchy beats with a distinct country sensibility. All songs are self produced, self released, an experiment in paired back, dirty three piece rock. With a nod to early Elvis recordings, 60's overdrive, noisy guitar and good ole country rock. One guitar, one bass, a set of drums and a vocalist. That’s all it takes for this three piece to construct intricate journeys through love and darkness in sound. The Stooges meet Johny Cash on a cold dark night in a rundown speakeasy with a dirty, country, blues band playing on a shitty, little stage whilst the apocalypse unfolds outside.
