Hailing from Adelaide, South Australia, Rod Harrison is a singer-songwriter blending New Country/Americana, Rock with a distinctive Australian flavour. His songs are instrumentally detailed and dynamic, but always easy on the ear – thanks to the classic, accessible formula of vocals and acoustic guitar at the core. And once the music has invited you in, the lyrics add an engaging layer of mystique, with stories inspired by dreams, visions, and supernatural encounters. Rod writes about both personal experiences and those of people he has met, often invoking the idea that while humans have advanced in areas like technology, they essentially have the same troubled hearts. In between live performances around his hometown, Rod has been working on a string of single releases at Adelaide’s Island Studios; which began with Nobel Men Cry in Dec 2023. This will be followed by more singles from Feb 2024 and a full-length debut album due for release in mid 2024.
